The Mothman Prophecies
After the tragic death of his beloved wife Mary (Debra Messing), Washington Post reporter John Klein (Richard Gere) finds a notebook full of strange drawings, variations on the same apparition. And he remembers her last words: "Didn't you see that?" In time, he wanders into the small village of Point Pleasant, where he meets young sergeant Connie Parker (Laura Linney), who reveals that the entire county has been turned upside down by recent strange phenomena. He soon realizes that the unusual phenomena could be related not only to each other, but also to the strange drawings Mary frantically painted a few hours before her death. But what exactly is the connection? The phenomena defy simple explanation and are increasingly disturbing, as if they foreshadow inevitable catastrophes. For John, a fiendish race against time begins to figure out what's going on and prevent something terrible from happening. The film is based on the book by John A. The Mothman Prophecies, based on a true story.
